The Foundation was created to fund research into the problems that affect our beloved breed. To date, the ABCF has raised more money than any other breed club. The money raised by the foundation has funded studies in boxer cardiomyopathy, sub-aortic stenosis, thyroid disease, and cancer, including lymphoma. The foundation is also hoping to fund a study on degenerative myelopathy.

The Foundation has only one mission, and that is to raise money to fund health research for our Boxers. However, it was felt that we needed a vehicle to provide research funding well into the future. Therefore, the ABCF Memorial Endowment Fund was created. All memorial or honorary donations bequests or gifts designated to the Endowment Fund are placed in this Memorial Fund. You may want to memorialize a family member, a friend or that special Boxer person -- the Memorial Endowment fund is your vehicle to honor a special person. This corpus will never be spent, it will only continue to grow. Only a portion of the income produced will be spent for research, therefore, providing for our beloved Boxers .... FOREVER! This perpetual gift to our breed is a perfect way for YOU to impact your breed --- FOREVER! Donations of any size --- from individuals, clubs, whomever --- are welcomed and all are tax deductible.

All memorial wall donations go into our Memorial Endowment Fund, which will continue to provide health research funding in perpetuity. To make a memorial to a dog, list the dog's name, age and cause of death which will be placed on the ABCF Memorial Wall Interactive CD and on our website. This will help us to better identify the health issues our breed faces. If you send a picture of the dog, it will go on our continuing ABCF Memorial Wall Interactive CD, which will be on display at ABC. You need not be a member of ABCF to donate and your gift may be in any amount. ABCF will notify the person/dogs family of your thoughtful donation.
